Nighty Night

(Update: James Brown link fixed, thanks Ma Bell.)
For the uninitiated, “mashups” are the musical equivalent of ADHD — a bunch of songs fused together, testing your senses and memory. dj BC does them right. I linked to his ridiculously tremendous mashup of the Nintendo Wii soundtrack and Vanilla Ice’s “Play That Funky Music” a few months ago, and rediscovered him after spending time on solcofn’s site a day or two ago.
mp3:
Mash It Funky (13 James Brown songs in four minutes)
Listen Twice (Talib Kweli vs. Doobie Brothers)
Mamma Jamma Jiver (Get this — “She’s A Bad Mama Jamma” - Carl Carlton, “Brown Sugar” - Mos Def and Faith Evans, “Jive Talkin’” - George Michael, “Get Busy” - Sean Paul, and “Rockit” - Herbie Hancock)
Gimme The Nightclub (50 Cent vs. George Benson)
Finally, solcofn’s Crazy Girls (Gnarls Barkley vs. Sean Kingston), which The Lovely And Talented Ms. RUTS has already deeply fallen in love with.
With that business concluded, here’s some stuff for absolutely no damn good reason at all:
The Diabolical Biz Markie singing “Benny and the Jets” from the old Chris Rock Show on HBO. I prefer the version from the Beastie Boys’ “Sounds of Science” compilation because BizMark only knew about 50% of the words at that point. This will have to do, however:
Giant fucking guitar!
A fitting tribute to one of my favorite South Park episodes, “Good Times With Weapons”:
(Super late update: You made it this far. Reward yourself by reading EDSBS’ Lou Holtz pre-game speech for Michigan. There’s a reason why EDSBS reigns supreme over all other college football blogs, you know.)

I will now use my powers to…TURN KYLE INTO A CHICKEN, BLEH!
“Goddamnit Cartman!”
Ha-ha ha-ha haa haa. Now you are a chi-cken!
Knock yourself out fellas:
