Looks like that Phillies game might be the best thing to watch on TV today judging by this first quarter
I retract my statement.
Phils win! Phils win! It’s crazy! I admit that I am a Philadelphia transplant and I don’t have a pedigree history of being a Phillies fan - BUT - yesterday was a sports history moment to remember - it was awesome. I was in the car so I listened on the radio - you could hear the announcers smiling into the microphones - and when it was all over, you could hear them crying. Once back in Philly - people (as expected) were driving around honking horns and cheering. I really do love this town.
The Phils winning the NL East title is the perfect alka seltzer after these Penn State stomach aches over the past two weeks. I can smile at the fact that at least one of my teams can finally back up their talk. Getting over that hump was quite hard, but it just makes this victory that much sweeter.
