you cap yours?
i’ve always gotten the resealable 16 oz”grolsch” style bottles. recently, i’ve been noticing an increased trend in duds, usally around 6-8 per batch, which is just unacceptable.
have you ever dudding issues with capping?
was thinking of going to kegs.

I’ve always capped mine. I’ve looked into getting a few cases of the resealable / clamp bottles, but they’re so expensive. 144 bottle caps is only $3, and I’ve amassed enough plain brown glass bottles that it doesn’t make much sense for me to invest in the Grolsch style bottles.
As for the dudding issues, they’ve been few and far between. I’ve accepted that my beers aren’t going to maintain a high degree of bubbliness, but if you pour them into the glass and let it splash around a bit, it’s totally fine. Once it’s in the pint glass for a 5-10 minutes, it looks as flat as most other beers.
I’m slightly concerned with the Weizenbock because I splashed it around a bit too much when I siphoned it into the dispensing bucket, but it’s pretty hard to massively screw up a beer kit. Perhaps when I buy a house and have a little more room, I’ll get into brewing from scratch.
