Football Rapper Contest Returns; Crystal Pepsi Can’t Be Far Behind

It appears the marketing gurus in the football program received their shipment of Bad Idea Jeans in time for spring practice, because the Football Rapper Contest is back!
The Blue-White Rapper Show is a contest for Penn State students to showcase their rap talents as well as their love of Penn State football. The winning original rap song chosen will be performed on stage with Fergie before her concert on April 18th, 2008, and will receive 2 free tickets to see her live. The original rap song must be done by a solo artist (no groups) and be under one minute in length. The central theme for the rap should be Penn State Football.
Personally, I’d like to thank everyone involved with this contest, from the organizers to the participants. Truly the gift that never stops giving. I’m saddened by the one minute time limit, though.

All I can say is Hell yeah!
When they say “performed on stage with Fergie”, do they mean that she’ll help out with some beat-box, maybe do some back-up dancing? Or, do they mean the rapper will get to be on the stage 60 minutes before Fergie goes on?
Because I bet Fergie would love to cut a single featuring Spudd McKenzy. Who needs Ludacris or Akon when you can rap with no-talent white kids from the SC?

There is strong possibility that the talent of the “winner” will exceed that of the headliner. The “winner” will probably be more attractive too and less likely to wet him/herself during the performance.

some hood-wannabe will likely make an ass out of himself. then we will judge him. then galen ends up posting his response email, which is kind of funny in its own way.
still-why doesn’t psu go with a more agricultural themed contest that more people can relate to?
