The Penn State Football Rap Contest strides onward.

So, wait a minute. What’s the status of this abortion of a contest now that the Fergie concert is cancelled*?
The planned Fergie concert at Beaver Stadium, as well as other Gridiron Bash events at college campuses, have been postponed.
The Gridiron Bash has has discontinued ticket sales, according to the university.
The Fergie concert was scheduled for Friday, April 18, as part of Blue White Weekend festivities.
A recent recent ruling by the NCAA prohibits student-athlete participation in the Gridiron Bash, and that was the reason for the cancellation, according to the university.
Hopefully — and yes, I’m hoping for this — Penn State will let the winner perform in front of an utterly confused Beaver Stadium crowd during halftime of the Blue-White game.
* — BHGP, I fully expect a Paterno-Fergie breakup conversation by Monday at noon.

Apologies for not covering this major story yet. I’ve been preoccupied with other things that have nothing to do with blogging, which shows you how fucked up my priorities are. Also I slammed my typin’ finger in a dishwasher, and now it really hurts. Jest if you must, but without it, typing this comment took SEVENTEEN HOURS.
