was watching the game down here in crystal city with some nan-bandwagon caps fans.
at the beginning of the third, i half-jokingly told them not to worry; the Flyers have a nasty tendency to not hold onto leads (e.g. toronto, flyers up by 3, last month).
in short-within 3 minutes of the final frame, they remarked, “it looks like the flyers have reverted to a prevent defense”. kinda knew we were boned at that point. we got sloppy and lazy in our own zone. if i was stevens, i would have kept them on the ice after the game to do skating drills.
in short, i decided to drink so hard it would change the final outcome of the game. didn’t work.
i guess we’ll find out what kind of team we have on sunday.

forgot to add:
to be a mean, viscious jerk of a fan this morning, i am starting up a rumor that the nhl is secretly plotting for a pens/caps series to raise ratings so they can rid themselves of being on versus.

That’s an upper body injury? I always thought that was a lower body injury.
It wouldn’t shock me if the NHL wants a Caps vs. Pengyunz series. After all, the Pengyunz are the most important team in hockey. Who wouldn’t want a to have a twice bankrupt team from a market that has been losing population for 35 years as a flagship? I just hope they don’t overdue the Ovechkin hype like they have with Crosby.
A good start for my Caps!
